Under fire: Cirque Le Soir in London has told promoters not to invite fat friends
A top night spot that plays host to A-list celebs like Cara Delevingne and Rihanna has come under fire after promoters asked punters not to bring people - who are FAT.
Promoters
working at the top London night club sent out a text to people on their
VIP list, outlining the stringent rules for entry into exclusive areas -
including “do not bring any big/fat girls/guys.”
Girls hoping to party at central London hotspot Cirque le Soir were also told to “Dress glamorous/hot” in all black.
Promoters added that the Soho club, where a bottle of Champagne can fetch £1,000, would turn away fat people.
A
club representative, who described herself as an “overweight female”,
denied it was policy but refused to answer if they employed the
promoters.
Controversial club: Cirque Le Soir in London has told promoters are not welcome
Mia Md Mamun was one of the promoters attracting “stunning” girls by offering discounts or evening getting them free.
He was one of several to send “a few rules for Cirque le Soir” in messages over Facebook.
Among
the rules were: “Bring £20 cash in case (If everyone is super stunning
in sure I can speak to the door girl to either make it cheap or get you
in completely free).
“Look as beautiful as I can see you are !
“No big/fat girls/guys (the club will turn a person away).”
The promoters asked girls to dress “glamorous” or “elegant” and that they should make sure they wear make-up.

Cara Delevingne: She's a regular at the club
One promoter said a group of ten would be charged three
quarters of the entry fee because “one girl is not so good” after a
clubber sent him a picture.
The teen replied: “I just feel a bit bad telling her she’s not that good.”
Journalism student Elouise Bratt, 19, received such messages from promoters and blasted the clubs for apparently employing them.

Rihanna: She's also a big fan of the club
Elouise, who studies at Nottingham Trent University and is
originally from Gants Hill, east London, said: “It’s disgusting and it’s
discriminatory.
“The clubs need to change the way they are doing things with promoters.
“They think if they are pretty on the outside it makes the club look good but they are wrong. It is very superficial.”
A
Cirque le Soir spokeswoman, who refused to be named, said: “This is not
anything to do with the club. I’m an overweight female I work at the
club and drink at the club.
“We can’t speak on behalf of independent promoters but as a club we don’t have a policy that says that.”
